Another year, another batch of anxiety

Today is mine and Cesar’s five-year anniversary. We talked for a bit on the phone, which is still a rare luxury despite the magic of apps such as Tango and Heytell, because of the time difference, so it was a phenomenal treat to get to hear his voice for a bit.
Today was also my first day back in my day job, which was not as big of a treat, but what can you do when money needs to be made and rent paid. I, at least, got to spend two lovely, relaxed and lazy weeks with my family in my childhood home and enjoy the holiday with endless marathons of both “OZ” and “Jeeves & Wooster” and some sugar free sweets that I concocted rather spontaneously that turned out quite successful.
The separation anxiety that I suffered on my last two days at home, particularly during the ride into town and the wait at the train station, basically balanced out what little relaxation I’d managed to achieve during my break, and I didn’t write as much as a word during that time either, but at least I got to spend some time with my family.
